A reputable leaker shared the camera details of one of the upcoming Vivo X300 series models. According to the account, one of the lenses includes a 200MP main camera.
Vivo is expected to upgrade its X series soon, following the success of its X200 series. Amid the wait, several leaks are gradually unveiling the details of some of the models. This time, thanks to well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, another one has surfaced.
The account did not specify the device model, but it is believed to be included in the X300 lineup. According to the tipster, the handheld will use a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4″ lens. The said camera will reportedly be complemented by a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto that could offer 3x± optical zoom.
Despite not naming the handheld, it is believed to be either the vanilla model or the X300 Pro Mini. Compared to their predecessors, the base X200 model has a 50MP wide (1/1.56″) with PDAF and OIS; a 50MP periscope telephoto (1/1.95″) with PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom; and a 50MP ultrawide (1/2.76″) with AF. Meanwhile, the X200 Pro Mini houses a 50MP wide (1/1.28″) with PDAF and OIS; a 50MP periscope telephoto (1/1.95″) with PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom; and a 50MP ultrawide (1/2.76″) with AF.
The news follows several leaks about the X300 Pro Mini, which is said to feature a 6.3″ display with 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner support, a 50MP IMX88 periscope with 3x zoom, a full waterproof rating, and wireless charging support. While the compact model is likely to stay exclusive to China, the rest of the series could be unveiled in India, Malaysia, Turkey, Singapore, and parts of Europe.
