Best Redmi smartphone models in Asia in 2025

Smartphone brands are becoming increasingly aggressive in their efforts to impress buyers in the market. Most recent releases come with decent price tags and high-end specs, both of which can be found in the best Redmi smartphone models in 2025.

Redmi’s popularity

Despite being just a sub-brand, Redmi has been consistently growing globally since Xiaomi introduced it in 2013. Now, the brand continues to flourish outside China, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Brazil, the UK, France, and more.

Its success is all possible through Xiaomi’s strategic approach to building the name of Redmi as an affordable yet quality smartphone brand. Despite being budget-friendly, the brand is known to offer some of the best feature-rich smartphones with high-resolution cameras, large batteries, and fast processors. This allows its creations to compete against expensive competitors.

Moreover, Redmi has a vast e-commerce platform reach and even offers flash sales, especially in markets like India, Southeast Asia, and parts of Europe. It also releases new models regularly to provide the latest technology and hardware, allowing its devices to always be fresh and competitive.

The Best Redmi models

While we are just entering the third quarter of the year, Redmi has already released a handful of interesting mid-range and budget models. We rounded up some of the best choices out there:

Redmi K80 Ultra. The brand’s latest model has just made its debut in China. The phone is designed specifically for gamers, which explains its impressive game-focused specs, such as its 144Hz OLED with 3200nits peak brightness, dual speaker system, D2 independent graphics chip, and X-axis linear vibration motor. It also houses a huge 7410mAh battery and the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip.

Sadly, the Redmi smartphone could remain exclusive in China. Yet, here’s the good news: Like in the past, the Chinese giant could rebadge the phone for international buyers. To recall, the Redmi K80 Ultra’s predecessor, the Redmi K70 Ultra, was rebranded as Xiaomi 14T Pro globally. If that happens, expect that it could be named the Xiaomi 15T Pro in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and more countries.

Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5 G’s inclusion in this list is not surprising, especially after Xiaomi has sold over 400 million units of the Redmi Notes globally. In India, Xiaomi is even celebrating this by releasing the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G series in Champagne Gold variants on July 1.

In the series, the Note 14 Pro+ 5G is a good choice due to its decent price and set of specs. While it no longer has the latest hardware (including its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3), its entirety as a mid-range model can still entice buyers globally. To recall, it comes with a 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED with 3000nits peak brightness and an in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 120W HyperCharge support, and an IP68 rating.

Redmi A4 5G. This Redmi model might not be as great as the other models on the list, but it can top the game when it comes to the best budget 5G smartphones. In India, it starts at ₹8499, which is around $99.

Despite its price, it has a premium design, decent daylight camera performance (50MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera), and excellent battery life (5160mAh battery with 18W charging support). It also offers a 6.88″ 60/120Hz IPS HD+ LCD, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IP52 rating.

Redmi 13x. This is another budget-friendly option, which explains its success in budget-conscious markets, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, and more. Despite its affordable price tag, it has all the necessary basics, including a decent 5030mAh battery with 33W charging, a 6.79″ FHD+ 90Hz IPS LCD, a 108MP main camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP53 rating, and a Helio G91 Ultra chip.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. This handheld might not be as new as the others on the list, but it is considered one of the oldest yet best Redmi models on the market.

Despite being a mid-range model, it debuted with some flagship-level specs without a flagship price tag. Some of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5 G’s main highlights include its 6.67″ CrystalRes 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED, triple rear camera setup (200MP+8MP+2MP), 5000mAh battery, 120W charging support, and IP68 rating.

The Redmi smartphone has the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chip, which is paired with either 8GB/256GB or 12GB/512GB configurations. In India, the 12GB/512GB configuration is priced at ₹37,999 (around $455) on Flipkart, Xiaomi India, and retail stores.
