OnePlus confirmed several details of its OnePlus Nord CE 5 model ahead of its arrival in India.
The model will launch alongside the vanilla OnePlus Nord 5 on July 8. It will debut globally, including in the UK, India, and other markets where the Nord 4 was also offered, such as Malaysia and Indonesia.
Last month, OnePlus revealed the models’ designs, affirming speculations that they are rebadged OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, which debuted in China earlier. However, as expected, the Nord models will have some differences from their Chinese counterparts.
Today, OnePlus confirmed this by revealing that the CE 5 variant has a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chip and LPDDR5X RAM. To compare, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e SoC and the same type of memory.
Yet, according to OnePlus, the phone still has the same 7100mAh battery with 80W wired charging and bypass charging support. Oppo also confirmed that the device houses a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera.
With these similarities, we expect that the OnePlus Nord CE 5 will also have the rest of the specs of its Chinese sibling, which debuted with the following:
- LPDDR5x RAM
- UFS 4.0 storage
- 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB
- 6.77″ flat FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED with under-screen optical fingerprint sensor
- 50MP f/1.8 main camera with AF and OIS + 2MP f/2.4 portrait lens
- 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera
- 7100mAh battery
- 80W charging + bypass charging
- ColorOS 15.0
- IP64 rating
- White Waves, Rock Black, and Wilderness Green
