Honor Magic 8 Pro specs leak: Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, 200MP periscope, 7000mAh battery, more

Details of the alleged Honor Magic 8 Pro have leaked online, revealing some interesting upgrades in its specs.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is now available globally, including in Europe (the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania) and Asia Pacific (China, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Philippines). In the coming months, we expect to see the arrival of its successor. According to leaks, it is now being prepared by the brand, and reputable leaker Digital Chat Station proved it in a recent post.

According to the account, the Magic 8 series model will be equipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. This should be a huge upgrade over the already impressive Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Magic 7 Pro.

In the display department, the Honor model reportedly has a screen measuring around 6.71″. As per DCS, the display will support 3D face recognition and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

According to the tipster in an earlier post, the Honor Magic 8 Pro has a 50MP OmniVision OV50Q main camera. The system is rumored to be a triple camera setup, which will also include a 50MP ultrawide and a 200MP periscope telephoto. The account reiterated the use of the 200MP periscope unit in the upcoming phone in his recent post. 

DCS also previously shared that the handheld boasts Lateral OverFlow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) technology, a smooth frame transition, and better focus speed and dynamic range. The account also revealed that the camera system will now use less power, making it more efficient for users.

Ultimately, Magic 8 Pro is rumored to have a battery with a capacity of around 7000mAh. It is allegedly coming with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
