Huawei Pocket 3 reportedly coming in 2 versions in Q1

The successor of the Huawei Pocket 2 is allegedly now under development and could arrive in two versions this quarter.

The news follows an earlier claim by reputable leaker Digital Chat Station, who said that the Huawei Pocket 3 will debut this year. Now, another tipster, Smart Pikachu, shared a more specific timeline on Weibo, claiming that it will be after the Chinese New Year.

Interestingly, the account said that there will be two Huawei Pocket 3 versions without specifying the matter. It is unknown if the leaker was referring to the configuration, but it could also be the connectivity (5G and 4G), NFC support, or other feature differences between the two.

Smart Pikachu also claimed that the Huawei Pocket 3 is “thinner, smaller, and lighter.” To recall, the Pocket 2 has a generous 6.94-inch 2690 x 1136 LTPO OLED main display with 2200 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. At the back, next to the circular camera island, is a round secondary 1.15-inch OLED screen. It weighs 199g and measures 170 x 75.5 x 7.3mm and 87.8 x 75.5 x 15.3mm in unfolded and folded states, respectively.
