Vivo X300 Pro cam specs leak, including ‘new’ coating tech to prevent earlier series glare issue

The Vivo X300 Pro’s camera details have leaked online. According to the tip, the handheld will also have a new coating on its lenses to remove camera glare.

In the past few days, we have heard various leaks about the X300 series, including the vanilla and Pro Mini models. Now, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has new information about the lineup, with the latest one focusing on the alleged Pro model.

According to the account, the said Dimensity 9500-powered device will offer a 50MP Sony LYT828 1/1.3″ main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP 1/1.4″ periscope unit.

DCS also mentioned that Vivo would apply a new coating technology to the system’s lenses. This addition should be able to “improve the optical problems ” the company had earlier faced in the X200 lineup.

To recall, several X200 series users reported experiencing significant glare in the shots of the devices. Vivo VP Huang Tao explained that the “very extreme off-screen glare” happened due to the arc of the lens and its f/1.57 aperture. When using the camera at specific angles and the light hits it, a glare occurs. To address the issue, the company rolled out an update in the past and even offered free anti-glare phone cases for units with extreme glare problems.
